He was predeceased by: his parents, Alverna Watkins-Hawkins and Richard Matlock; his stepfather George Hawkins; and his siblings, R. C. Hawkins, George Wayne Hawkins, Jerry Hawkins and Dora Lee Matlock.
He is survived by: his children, Shatara Ferrell, Tamekia Ferrell, Shanekia Robinson (Jerred) of Baltimore and Marquise Nelson (Jessica) of Bearden, AR; his siblings, Verna M. Jones of Tulip, AR., Scarlett Mannery of Atlanta, GA. and Allen Matlock (Stephanie) of Rockford, IL.; his aunts, Bernice (Will) of Jacinto, Annie Pearl Davis of Arkadelphia and Evelene (George) of California; and his sister-in-law Deborah Hawkins (Tracy Hawkins).
