He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Shuler and Viola Rawls Shuler. He is survived by: his wife Joann Shuler of Bearden; his daughters, Joanna Russell (Wynn) of Fordyce, Kathren Lorenz (David) of Bearden and Susan Shuler of Bearden; his brother Richard Shuler of Ft. Loupton, CO; his grandchildren, Jerri Shuler, Gage Russell and Jay Russell; his great grandchildren, Chyanne Lorenz and Elena Lambert; and his grandchildren, Anjelica Kirby and Pansy Kirby.
