He was predeceased by: his siblings, Elinor Ruth Cheatham, Dorothy Irene Birmingham, Wendell Arthur Launius and James Launius (Jim). He is survived by: his significant other Nell Eloise Nelson; his children, David Michael Launius (Paula), Catherine Elizabeth Hiegel (Bob) and Pamela Suellen Williams (Roger); his grandchildren, Richard Allen Elizandro, Sarah Elizabeth Hiegel, Timothy Michael Launius, Peter Stephen Hiegel and John Webb Williams; and his great grandchildren, Ashton Elizandro and Ezra Launius.
