She was predeceased by: her husband John T. Simpson; her parents, Thelma Coleman Mersereau and Peter Noah Mersereau; her siblings, Chuck, Butch Mersereau, Devota Hampshire and Wilma VanWinkle; and her stepson Jack Stice.
She is survived by: her son John Simpson (Alethea); her grandchildren, Justin Simpson (Amber), Bayleigh Morrow (Grayson) and Hayden Simpson (Elizabeth); and her great grandchildren, Emily Simpson, Everleigh Simpson, Sutton Morrow and Braxton Simpson.
