He was predeceased by: his parent Willie Lee Owens. He is survived by: his mother Frances Mayo Chapman of Florida; his wife Teresa Owens; his son Michael Wayne Owens, Jr. of Mississippi; his stepson Timothy John Neal of Batesville; his daughter Chevy Tamara Davis (Scott) of Mississippi; and his sisters, Ruthie, Linda and Sherry. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
