She was predeceased by: her parents, William Boyd Newsom and Tommie Imogene Newsom (Willmuth). She is survived by: her husband Michael Lee Smith; her daughter Jamie Diane Bridgers (Andrew) of Batesville; her brother-in-law James Allen Smith (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Owen Boyd Bridgers and Sophia Francis Bridgers; and her cousins, Rocky Willmuth (Diane), Steve Bearden, Melissa Sammons, Cindy Benedict Allen, Mandy Willmuth Farquhar, Susan Wise Simmons, Suzanne Hamilton, Biff Vinson and Joy Tedford.
