He was predeceased by: his parents, William Nels Ball and Effie Ball (Blair); his son Chris Ball; and his brother Alvis P. Ball. He is survived by: his wife Martha Louise Ball (Hightower); his children, John W. Ball III and Francesa Stafford; his grandson Graham Stafford; his stepdaughter Melody Williams; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua and Brandy.
