It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jimmy Kates of Batesville, Arkansas, who passed away on August 8, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucy Kates (Murry) and Curtis Kates of Batesville, AR; and his brother Jerry Kates. He is survived by: his wife Aline Kates (Evans); his children, Stephen, Mark, Tamara and Craig Kates; and his stepsons, David and Chris Bush. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; cousins.
