He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Olen Gist and Billie Gist (Carnett). He is survived by: his wife Leveta Mae Gist (McVay); his sons, Jason Gist (Jessica) of Denver and Adam Gist of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Whitaker Gist, Caeley Gist, Hadley Jackson and McKenna Grigsby; and his sisters, Beverly Verser of Batesville and Wanda Petree (Rickey) of Batesville.
