It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hervey Mayes Jr. (Batesville, Arkansas), born in Brownwood, Texas, who passed away on July 6, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hervey Mayes and Dorothy Mayes (Shelton); and his wife Barbara Ann Mayes. He is survived by: his sons, Jeff Mayes, Gregory Mayes (Terri), Robert Mayes (Ruth) and Richard Mayes (Sandy); and his brother Bob Mayes (Jeannie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
