She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur J. Kessel and Ella Kessel (Clopine); her husband Kenneth Smith; her son Mark Smith; and her siblings, Donald Kessel, Emil Kessel and Henrietta Friel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Smith (Doug Lee) of Batesville and Pamela Milton (William) of Richmond, Texas; her sister-in-law Kathy Kessel of Amboy, Illinois; and her grandchild Caroline Rose Milton of Auburn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Independence County Humane Society at 5 Environmental Dr. Batesville, Ar. 72501.
