He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis Nelson and Eadith Nelson (Salado); his son Andrew Joseph Kelly; and his sister Virginia Harrison (Charles). He is survived by: his wife Lucinda; his children, Nancy Nelson of Southside and Dr. Byron Nelson; his grandchildren, Stuart Rush (Kristen) of Alamogordo, Brooke Nelson of San Sebastian, Iban Clemente of San Sebastian, Ander Clemente of San Sebastian, Evan and Mason Kelly of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.; his great grandchild Colton Rush; and his cousin Sam Hurley.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service (546 Harrison St, Batesville, AR 72501).
