He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude C. Candler and Hattie G. Sorrel Candler; his wife Bonnie Marie West Candler; his siblings, Chuck, Albert, Jim Candler, Rhoda Hyde, Mildred Owens and Louise Hyde Bray; and his grandson Nathaniel Barnett.
He is survived by: his children, Toby Candler (Hope) of Batesville, Lee Candler of Batesville, Sanford Candler (Marietta) of Batesville, Mark Candler of Batesville, Teresa Barnett (William) of Batesville, Amber Goodman (David) of Batesville, Alisa Hatfield of Batesville and Sheba Cunningham (Troy) of North Carolina; and his sister Cora Mae Wood of Tennessee. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
