It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Cheek of Barton, Arkansas, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on April 10, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Jodie Cheek; his mother Graple Heathcock; his stepfather Verlon Heathcock; his daughter Monica Lynn Cheek; his granddaughter Presley Phipps; and his sisters, Trudy and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Cheek (Jenni) of Harrisburg and Meredith Miller (Brett) of Wynne; his stepson Todd Phipps of Benton; his grandchildren, Blake, Nicole, Micah, Katelynn, Alek, Chevy, Garrett, Zoe, Autumn, Angel and Dallas; his sisters, Anita Dennis of West Helena, Cely Kerst (Paul) of Conway, Donna Anderson of California, Jackye Wilder (Joe) of Conway and Jo James of Lexa; his friend Dana Crabtree; and also Molly Johnston. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
