She was predeceased by: her husband Melvin B. Taylor; and her siblings, Reverend Harold Elkins and Dorothy Tucker. She is survived by: her sons, Gaylon and Glen Taylor; her granddaughters, Krista and Kara; her great grandchild Adrianne; and her brothers, Roy and Ramon Elkins. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
