It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John File Emmons of Barling, Arkansas, born in Ada, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Emmons and Evelyn Emmons (File); his wife Ruth Emmons (Smith); and his son Patrick Emmons. He is survived by: his daughters, Carla Wilder (Manfred) of St. Louis, Missouri and Carole Miller of St. Louis, Missouri; his grandsons, Bradley and Scott Schmitt (Victoria); and his great grandchildren, Marlee of Fort Smith, Finley of Fort Smith and Bradley C. of Fort Smith.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Boniface Catholic Church in memory of John F. Emmons.
