With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herschel Rye of Barling, Arkansas, born in Mountainburg, Arkansas, who passed away on October 26, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Rye and Della Rye (Hays); and his siblings, Rosemary Duncan, Faye Martel, J. D., Daniel, Johnny and David Rye.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Rye; his sons, Damon Rye (Sandy) of Fort Smith and Wendell Rye (Jeanette) of Barling, AR; his grandchildren, Joshua Rye (Danielle) of Fayetteville, AR, Amber Farris (Brian) of Sallisaw, OK, Anna Williamson (Marc) of Fayetteville, AR, Brittaney Goodnight (Zach) of Van Buren, AR and Cristen Winters (Chanceton); his great grandchildren, LottieBelle, Larkin Lee, DaiseyMae, LucyKate, Kennedi and Melodi; and his brother Paul Rye (Patricia) of Uniontown, AR. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
