She was predeceased by: her parents, Auburn Jerome McFarland and Hattie Mae Smith McFarland; her spouse Dale Sweatman; and her brothers, A. J. McFarland Jr., Roy McFarland, Curtis McFarland and Earnest McFarland.
She is survived by: her sister Christine Munford; her nephews, Gary McFarland and Dr. Gayle McFarland; her niece Peggy Swan; and her sisters, Nelsie Bershen of Monroe, LA and Bobbie Whisenhunt. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
