He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bruce and Sylvia Bruce (Parrigan); his stepfather Augustine Williams; and his sisters, Billie Knoblock and Zelma Pollard.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Bruce (Wheatley); his sons, Jay Bruce (Deanna) and Mark Bruce; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Broadaway (Dalton) and Brad Bruce; his great grandchildren, Lennox and Connor Broadaway; his siblings, Johnny Bruce (Jade), Warren Bruce (Rhonda) and Patsy Cagle (Donnie); and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Hamrick and Gene Pollard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and longtime friends.
