He was predeceased by: his father Homer Simmons; and his brother Kenny Simmons. He is survived by: his mother Sara Simmons (Ragsdale); his close friend Bonnie Havner; his sons, Walter, Jeremiah and William; and his brother Terry Simmons.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials donations be made to a charity of your choice.
