He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tucker and Kate Tucker (White); his son James Tucker; his former wife Mary E. Tucker; and his granddaughter Amanda Murray.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Tucker (Lynch); his daughters, Patricia Hall (Jim), Adred Murray (Ed), Vickie Waymack (Dwight), Elizabeth Corbit (James) and Julia Ann Peugh; and his sisters, Maxine Kramer and Stina Wilkerson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of friends.
