She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Wheeler and Magdeline Wheeler (Newell); her husband Billy C. Evans; her daughter Charlcie Tuggle; and her sisters, Maxine Newkirk and Pauline Jernigan.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Lou Smith; her grandchildren, Sandra Piker (Lavon), Sherrie Barrentine (Malcolm), Darren Miller (Becky) and Angela Smith (Mitch); and her siblings, Ernestine Pascarella and Everett Wheeler. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
