He was predeceased by: his former wife Joyce Heard; his siblings, Neal Heard, William Coleman Heard, Robert Ervin Heard, Ethel Pollard, Alleene Heard, Alice Oleta Harger, Mary Elizabeth Heard, Anna Lee Heard and Martha Mae Heard; his children, Brenda Gordon, Boyd Forbes, Elizabeth Green and Amelia Elrod; and his grandchild Jenny McDade.
He is survived by: his wife Isabell Margie Heard; his children, John Paul Heard, Paula Elaine Launius and Teresa Lynn McDade; and his stepchildren, Slayden Wallis, Joie Wallis and Reta Wallis. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
