He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Collison and Elsie Collison; his wife Pauline Collison; his son Joe Everett Collison; his grandson Joseph Kyle Brooks; his great grandchild Gary Marlin Cooprider III; and his siblings, Junior, Henry, Ray and Irene.
He is survived by: his daughters, Brenda Whitehurst (David) of Judsonia, AR, Linda Jinks of Bald Knob, AR and Theresa Batchelder of Decatur, IL; his daughter-in-law Karen "Carrie" Collison of Hot Springs, AR; and his grandchildren, Sheri Young (Mike) of Bald Knob, AR, Vaughn Kempson (Threasha) of Bald Knob, AR, Leann Cooprider (Billy Pedigo) of Searcy, AR, Jamie Reinert (Gary) of Ward, AR, Jessica Hamric (Tyler) of Judsonia, AR, Marty Jinks (Caitlyn) of Arizona, Ashley Batchelder of Decatur, IL, Aaron Batchelder (Hannah) of Decatur, IL and Zach Jinks (Megan) of Conway, AR. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1272 AR-367, Bald Knob, AR 72010). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.
