He is survived by: his children, Jessica Mashburn (Thomas) and David Allen Johnston; his grandchildren, Skylar Johnston, Brylie Mashburn and Emersyn Mashburn; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Johnston, Pansy Smith and Darlene Knox. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
