He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Loretz and Johnnie Powell Loretz; his brother Danny; and his daughter Michelle Loretz. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his pet Miss Kitty; his children, Melissa Keeney (Doug) of Searcy, Melanie Reinert (Jeff) of Springfield, Missouri and Kirk Loretz of Paragould, Arkansas; his stepchildren, Todd O'Keefe of Austin and Jenifer Spears (Ronnie) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; his brother John Loretz (April); his sister-in-law Sally Loretz; and his grandchildren, Landon Wilson, Evan Reinert, Lilly Spears, Katelynn, Aubreann and Ashlynn O'Keefe. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
