He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Martin E. Paulsen Sr. and Agnes Schlender Paulsen; his wife Peggy W. Gray; his son John Paulsen of Hartselle; his grandchildren, Alex, Ben and Rachel (Josh); his son James Paulsen; his sister Anne Marie Perkins (Ken) of Hudson; his sisters-in-law, Evie Bramel of Moro, Barbara Mason (Sonny) of Munford, Frankie Griffin (Gene) of Lewisville and Shirley Linder (Ralph) of Lafayette; his nephew Mike; and his brother-in-law Gene Griffin.
Marty died from complications, that was service connected, from Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson's Disease was from the exposure to the defoliant, Agent Orange, while stationed in Thailand.
