He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Alva Stephens, E. L. and Mary McMurtrey; and his brothers, Douglas and Clark.
He is survived by: his parents, Vardaman Stephens (V. K.) and Lila Belle Stephens; his spouse Nancy Householder Stephens; his children, Christopher Royal of Austin, AR and Ashley Royal (Jered) of Hindsville, AR.; and his siblings, Gary Stephens (Pam) of Kansas, Ronald Stephens (Becky) of Rogers, AR, Vardelle Stephens of Kansas, Don Walker (Shannon) of Springdale and Ann Mitchell of Stuttgart, AR. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
