She was predeceased by: her parents, James Thomas McClain and Betty Ann McClain (Oneal); her son JC Carter; her brothers, Bruce McClain, Steve McClain and James McClain Jr.; and her sisters-in-law, Brenda McClain, Mary McClain and Janet McClain.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia Rayann Carter; and her husband Chester Carter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
