He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Eugene Meredith and Sarah Plummer Meredith; his son John-John Meredith II; his brothers, Eugene Meredith and James Meredith; and his siblings-in-law, Frankie Hawkins, James Hawkins and Patricia Hooten.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Hawkins Meredith; his daughter Rhonda Meredith Akram (Bill); his granddaughters, Angelique Meredith Fischer (Kendl) and Annalisa Meredith; his daughter Georgianna Lester; his siblings, Virginia Yeager and Fred Meredith (Linda); and his brothers-in-law, Archie Hawkins (Delsia) and Robert Hawkins (Jo Ann).
