He is survived by: his wife Karen Whatley; his daughters, Donna Jean Everett, Debra Ann "Deb" Moon (Johnny Johnson), Carol Sue Nelson and Tammy Waine Atkins (Jody); his stepson Jonathan "Jon" Fortune; his grandchildren, Cristie Ashby, Joel Coles, Kanen Skinner (Samantha), Jenifer Taylor, Jessica Burnett (Matt), Miranda Carter, Lesley Carter II, Faith Castleberry, Tyler Johnson and Kyle Johnson; his sister Bernice Renick (Elmo Tyler); and his pet Pooh Butt. He is also survived by nineteen great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren.
