Dewitt Alton Fortune Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dewitt Alton Fortune of Augusta, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 18, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dewitt Alton may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Fortune and Juanita Fortune. He is survived by: his wife Mary Fortune; his children, Dewitt Fortune, Jerry Fortune, Ruben Fortune, Jesse Ladd and Holly Reed; and his siblings, Doug Fortune, Carl Fortune and Anita Vazquez. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home of Woodruff County (700 N 9th St, Augusta, AR 72006). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Augusta Memorial Park.
