It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wayne Kersten of Atkins, Arkansas, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Kersten and Flora June Crabtree; his sister Sandra Diane Kersten; and his daughter Darlene Michelle Kersten. He is survived by: his significant other Georgia Ann Kersten; his daughters, Debra Dawn Shannon (Ladd) and Lesley Ann Desoto (David); his grandchildren, Ashly Taylar Storm (Dylan Morely), Dylan Carpenter, Gabriel McCabe (Kyle) and Haley Fauber; and his great grandchildren, Kolt Storm, Casey Casillas and Jessa Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lemley Funeral Home (1401 N Church St, Atkins, AR 72823). A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at the Atkins Catholic Cemetery.
