She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy McCain and Lula Pope McCain; her husband Dean Butler; her daughter Cathy Flowers; her siblings, Nina Duvall, Chris Owens, Johnny McCain, Frankie McCain, Tommy McCain and Jimmy McCain; and her grandchildren, Thomas Young, Ricky Farris, Jessica Brents and Sabrina.

She is survived by: her children, Ray Young (Sheila), Randy Young and Julia Willfond (Bill); her siblings, Robert (Carlene McCain) and Darlene Ethridge; and her sister-in-law Dana McCain. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
