He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Huckaby and Leona M. Huckaby; his siblings, Clarence Huckaby (Geraldine) and Virgie Knottkamper (Paul); and his brother-in-law Jerry Smith.

He is survived by: his siblings, Ernest Lee Huckaby (Geraldine), Francis Smith (Jerry), Carolyn Sewell (Junior) and Kathryn Grigsby (Jerry Don); and his children, Sue Houtsma (Don), David Huckaby (Rena), Anthony Huckaby, Mary Lembo (Peter) and Amy Anderson (Kevin). He is also survived by children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family.
