He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnett Pettit and Pearl Bennett Pettit; his former wife Sharley Pettit; and his brother William Pettit. He is survived by: his wife Orvilline Pettit; his daughter Dr. Krista Pettit Nelson (Daren); his stepdaughters, Delena Lewis (Bryon), Dana Robinson (Lavan) and Diana Adaire (Corey); his grandchildren, Kennedy Nelson, Sutton Nelson, Leslyn Garrett, McKenna Taylor, Justin Lewis, Mason Lewis, Evan Barnes, Daxton Adaire, Elias Adaire and Jayden Asher Adaire; and his sisters, Priscilla Keeton (Joe), Marilyn Fleharty and Deborah Hedge. He is also survived by son, Rick Mars; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
