He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Ewell and Nelle Marrs Ewell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Ewell; his sister Barbara Nelle Ewell of Conway, AR; his daughters, Donna Ewell Brown (Bryan), Patricia Ewell Russell, Myra Ewell Mobbs (Mark), Dee Hamby (Chris), Tina Bewley (Terry), Tracey Wilkinson (Tim) and Alicia Powers; and his pets, Barbara Bella and Tilley Mae. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Memorials in his honor may be made to The Gideons International.
