He was predeceased by: his parents, Freed Hillis and Faith Hillis; his daughter Deronda Sanders; and his siblings, Fern King and Tom Hillis.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Cross; his children, Bruce Hillis (Jeffery) of Dallas and Diane Warren of Atkins; his son-in-law Ron Sanders of Russellville; his nephew Richard Roberts of Fayetteville; and his niece Joyce Abernathy of Branson, Missouri.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
