We are sad to announce that on January 13, 2025, at the age of 74, Willie Lee French of Ashdown, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Galvester French, and Lula French, Sr. (Compton); his sisters, Stephanie Denny, Eula French, Ella W. Haywood and Ella B. Haywood; and his grandchildren, Brayleigh Cleghorn and Shauntrae Hurd.
He is survived by: his wife Marquenta French of Foreman, AR; his children, Willie Betts, Lamar Cleghorn, Tyler Cleghorn, Shandra "Pinky" Betts, Vanessa Cotton, Shatrena Betts and Bobbie Betts; and his siblings, Galvester French, Jr., Bobby French, Ronnie French, Donnie French, Rosie Jones, Jerrie Suber, Irene Dennis, Sheila Smith and Deloris French. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Madden Funeral Home - Ashdown (371 N 3rd St, Ashdown, AR 71822). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
