It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Surber Jr. of Ashdown, Arkansas, born in Monterey Park, California, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Surber and Edith Surber (Pettijohn); and his daughter Sherry Zeigler. He is survived by: his wife Linda Surber of Ashdown; his daughter Machelle; his son-in-law Jeff Haskins of Ashdown; his siblings, John Surber of Acadia, LA and Linda Hickey of Texarkana, AR; and his grandchildren, Dalton Haskins (Lorenn), Bryson Haskins, Brylee Jones (Bailey) and Lauren Beckham (Cole). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
