He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Cornelius and Mildred Henley Cornelius; his brother William Sam Cornelius of Hope, AR; his daughter Kelly Cornelius Fisher; and his grandson J. T. Redfearn.

He is survived by: his wife Lorna Jean Cornelius of Ashdown; his daughters, Betty Eddy (Tony) of Centerton, AR, Cathy McMahen (Bret) of Emerson, AR and T. J. Walraven (Bobby) of Ashdown; his son-in-law Fisher of Ogden; his brothers, Joe Cornelius of Donaldson, AR and Chuck Collier of Council Bluff, IA; and his grandchildren, Cole, Caroline Eddy, Maci McMahen, Ashley, Taylor Grimes, Robby Walraven, Kayli Robison and Caitlin Hunt. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
