He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Ayers and Dennie Ayers (Ford); his daughter Lanelle; and his sisters, Exer Mae Coleman, Diane Black and Thelma Wooldridge.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ayers of Ashdown; his son Randy; his daughter-in-law Cassie Ayers of Camden, AR; his daughters, Cindy Lumpkin of Texarkana, AR and Kaye Ayers of Ashdown; his siblings, Eddy Ayers of Langley, AR, Buddy Ayers of Haskell, AR, Lois Wooldridge of Lone Oak, TX, Ruby Hinton of Ashdown, Carolyn Myers of Ashdown, Millie Coleman of Jonesboro, AR and Geri Ayers of Las Cruces, NM; and his grandchildren, Donna Miller, Laura Richardson, John Lumpkin and Emily Troup. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
