With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ron Vaught of Ashdown, Arkansas, born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on July 21, 2022 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Vaught and Frances Dillard Vaught; and his brother Leonard Ray Vaught. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Jo Vaught of Ashdown, Arkansas; his children, Chris Vaught (Kerri) of Jackson, Joseph Vaught of Archer City, James Smith (Leticia) of Ashdown, Clint Shirron of Ashdown and Candis Vaught of McKinney, Texas.; his grandchildren, Brittany Henderson (Reggie) of Foreman, Chelsea Smith of Texarkana, Jesse Smith of Ashdown, James A. Smith of Ashdown, Zachary Shirron of Ashdown, Caleb Almendarez of Pittsburg, Skyla Vaught of Jackson, Bradley Almendarez of Pittsburg and Swayzie Vaught of Jackson, Mississippi.; his great grandchildren, Madisyn Henderson, Brycen Bush, Avery Henderson and Lainee Smith; his brothers, Richard Vaught (Carolyn) of Cookville and Frankie Vaught; his sister-in-law Janey Surber (Paul) of Ashdown, Arkansas.; and his pet Chloe. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, family, and many friends.
