She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kirkpatrick and Ruby Estelle Cunningham Kirkpatrick; her husband George Richard Gillespie (Dick); her siblings, Martha Weisen, Ann Bowie, William Kirkpatrick (Bubba) and Sonny Kirkpatrick; her daughter Camille Peoples; and her grandson Charles "Dude" Gillespie.
She is survived by: her sons, Tony (Stacey Gillespie), Jerry Gillespie of Ashdown, Scooter Gillespie of Foreman and Chuck Gillespie of Sherman, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
