She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Meeks and Mary Robinson Meeks; and her brothers, Edwin Meeks, Oscar Meeks, Jr. and James "Jimmy" Meeks.
She is survived by: her husband Warren Layfield; her daughters, Lisa Vaughn (Keith) of Milledgeville and Karen Hamilton of Milledgeville; her grandchildren, Sarai Baugh (Nathan), Casey Hamilton and Rebekah Hollinshead (Clate); and her great grandchildren, Benjamin and Bryce.
In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Black Springs Baptist Church.
