He is survived by: his wife Virginia Shepherd Spain; his sister Cathy; his brother-in-law Rick Glover; his niece Suzanne Spain Ward; his son Jim; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Spain; his daughter Caroline; his son-in-law Levi Runyan; and his grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Ward and Josie Shepherd Runyan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
