He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Sheppard and Rosa Belle Meeks Sheppard (Frances Jean Tatum). He is survived by: his children, James Allen Sheppard of Milledgeville and Ann Brewer; his granddaughter Annalisa Grimes (Nick Giles); and his brother Malcom W. Sheppard (Claire) of Sandersville.
