She was predeceased by: her parents, David Bush and Hattie Bush (Bartley); and her siblings, Bobby, Mickey Bush and Elanie Parker.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry Sumner; her children, Melvin, Donald, Tracy, Joe, Anthony and Jerri; and her stepchildren, Stacey and Angela. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
