He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Merrell and Martha Merrell. He is survived by: his children, Archie E. (Ruth Merrell), Joe (Lois Merrell), Kevin (Charlotte Merrell) and Patricia Lorraine; his son-in-law Kenneth Creech of New Boston, TX; and his significant other Carolyn Johnson. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
