It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Bonewits of Ash Flat, Arkansas, born in Sumner, Illinois, who passed away on November 7, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Spencer Bonewits and Geniveve Murphy-Haines (Fiscus); his spouse Shirley Ann Houghlan; and his children, Daniel Lee Bonewits and Cynda Lou Markanich.

He is survived by: his daughter Dea Ann Bridegroom of Bridgeport, Illinois; his grandchildren, Heather Ann Bridegroom and James Lee Bonewits; his great grandchildren, Landon Allen Lockhart and Jimmy Bonewits; and his great great grandchild Charlotte.
